Project objectives

Overall objective

To contribute in making Internet safe and secure environment for youth from Macedonia, especially disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, aiming to remove barriers and foster equal opportunities by ICTs based collaborative activities.

Specific objectives

To assist in initiation of the awareness raising process about the problems of Internet safety and security for youth.
To empower youth to share own ideas, knowledge and experiences about Internet safety and security.
To initiate thinking and activities about safer usage of Internet and social networks.
To collect positive experiences existing in the region and wider how to support this group of young people.
To develop ICT and web based content in order to share results and present voices of young people.
To contribute to flow of relevant and correct information by using information structures.
To contribute to the awareness of the role of UNESCO in the ethical dimension of the information society and as well as awareness and application of Code of Ethics for the Information Society.
To encourage the application of UNESCO’s publication “Ethical Implications of Emerging Technologies: A Survey”.
To contribute in fostering dialogue through exchange of practices, ideas, materials, content.
To establish a regional network of youth and educators that are cherishing values gained in this project and disseminate them to broader community.
